If you are worried now

Contact your treating team first and describe what you have noticed and when it started. If the team cannot be reached, call the hospital main line. For a red-flag symptom — a breast that is red and hot, a fever, an open wound, breathlessness or chest pain — go to the nearest emergency department rather than waiting for a reply. This website is not an emergency channel and is not monitored as one.

Arranging an assessment

Removal is assessed in the outpatient clinic of the Deputy Director & Head of Skin & Laser Aesthetics · Attending Physician, Licensed Aesthetic Attending at Chongqing West District Hospital, 301 Huafu Avenue North Section, Jiulongpo District, Chongqing. Call the outpatient line, or use the channel described on the appointments page, and say that you are asking about implant removal so that the right clinic time is booked.

What to bring

Bring any implant record or device card, the date and place of your original operation, and any imaging you have had. Bring a list of your medication, including anything that affects clotting. Photographs from before and after the original operation are genuinely useful, because they show what your own tissue did rather than what it looks like today.

What the consultation covers

The examination records the state of the skin envelope, the position of the implant, the firmness of the breast and whether a capsule is likely to be a factor. Imaging is arranged or reviewed where it is needed. You should leave with clear answers to five things: whether removal is appropriate now, whether the capsule is removed, whether a lift or replacement is part of the plan, what the shape is likely to be, and what the risks are for your case.

Fees, records and privacy

This site does not quote prices, because the plan depends on the findings and is discussed directly at consultation. What was removed and what was found is documented so the record follows you. Clinical photographs and imaging are taken for planning and follow-up, and are not published or used for teaching without a separate consent you are free to refuse.
